Origins

This collection was inspired by a desire to discover the origins of my culture deriving from both American and African heritage. These artworks incorporate imagery from a variety of African cultures as well as American media and influences from growing up in Kansas and Missouri. The dichotomy created between opposing images establishes both a playful and dynamic visual.
