Ashley Laren brings a wealth of experience and passion to her art classes and workshops. Over the past four years, Ashley has had the opportunity to teach and learn from her students in a variety of settings. She began her teaching career instructing drawing classes for small groups of 8-12 year olds at Creava Studios in Springfield. There, she developed her own lesson plans to help students learn art fundamentals and explore realistic drawing through still-lifes, nature drawing, portraiture, animal drawing, and more.
Ashley’s expertise extends beyond children's classes. She has successfully instructed groups of up to 25 adults in paint and sip classes, creating a fun and educational environment for budding artists. Additionally, she offers personalized guidance through private art instruction, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of her students.
For two years, Ashley served as the mentoring coordinator for a non-profit organization, where she led youth through social-emotional learning activities often integrated with art projects. Her approach to social-emotional learning helps students develop self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills, which are essential for navigating school, life, and future work.
