Collaging & Drawing Workshop: Colors Have Feelings

Workshop Description:  

This session at Forming Art Studios aims to introduce young artists to the magical world of color, patterns, and textures, helping them understand how these elements evoke different emotions. Led by artist Ashley Laren, students will engage in both a drawing project and a collaging project.

Learning Objectives:

- Intro: Feeling the Beat  

  Students will explore the relationship between music and emotions by listening to various genres and expressing their feelings through colors, shapes, and lines.

  

- Activity One: Pattern Landscape Drawings  

  Focusing on texture and pattern, students will create imaginative landscapes with repetitive designs, encouraging creativity and mindfulness.

- Activity Two: Collage  

  Inspired by magazine visuals, students will combine colors, patterns, and textures to convey emotions or themes, creating mixed-media art pieces.
